Ethan Pringle injured

Ethan has been plagued with injuries lately, and in the ABS final it happened again. "I extended my arm to do this huge campus/dyno rose move and as soon as my left shoulder took the first bit of my body weight, it went snap, crackle, pop, like a rice krispy. I knew it was OVER for me. My shoulder was filled with white hot pain, and so was my head. Even though I wasn’t in all that much pain, I was in shock from realizing the gravity of what I had just done...". Let's hope it's not as bad as it sounds!
On MVM there's a video of the problem. Pretty spectacular stuff.

The injury description sounds familiar...I had something like this one year ago :(

shoulder injuries and overuse syndromes seem to be way more common among climbers than thought, expecially with today's gymnastic/powerful climbing style...

...and it is bad because a smart training regime can include some execises to at least reduce the probability of these things happening...

best recovery wishes, hope he doesn't need surgery.
